Training Workshop on “Interpretation & Application of Incoterms® 2010”

On the 31st of January of 2012, the PSC & UNCTAD organized the first training workshop under the Capacity Development project for Facilitating Palestinian Trade, which is titled “Interpretation & Application of Incoterms 2010”.

The training which aimed to equip Palestinian shippers, accountants, and contractors with a solid and practical background about the international shipping terms and how to use them properly to prevent misunderstandings in international trade contracts by standardizing and defining terms to be used in contracts was conducted by an international expert who has participated in the revision of Incoterms 2000 and in the development of the new version “Incoterms® 2010”.

Throughout the workshop the expert explained the International Commercial Terms 2010 (Incoterms 2010); and clarified the difference between old and the new version including applications & Case Studies to 61 participants from Public sector Institutions, Chambers of Commerce, universities, contracting firms, Private sector companies from importers and exporters, accounting Firms, Insurance companies, and Banks.
