Training workshop on Customs Tariffs

Based on the results of a needs assessment conducted by the PSC in February – April 2012, on trade impediments facing Palestinian shippers, which confirmed the fact that Palestinian shippers do not have adequate information on customs tariffs and regulations, the PSC organized on the on the 18 October 2012 at Hebron Chamber of Commerce premises a training workshop in order to respond to the needs of Palestinian shippers for a better understanding of Israeli customs regulations and tariffs.

During the workshop an expert clarified to 65 participants from both the Public and the Private sectors; many topics such as Import rules, relevant licensing authorities, prohibitions, Documents needed for customs calculation purposes, the responsibilities of importers and customs brokers, Import taxes, The classification of goods and the customs tariffs structure, Certificate of origin, and Components of customs brokers invoices, references and methodology of customs invoices check.
